Individual Therapy

Principles of Treatment
In the therapeutic process, the physiotherapist functions mainly as a manager and guide; the patient is the most important “co-worker” in the team, and is actively involved in determining his or her own course of therapy.
In determining therapeutic goals (based on the ICF concept), all significant background factors are taken into consideration (bio-psychosocial model). Formulation of the goals is based on the SMART principle:

S - specific
M - measurable
A - achieveble
R - realistic
T - timed

and constitutes a sort of „contract“ between the patient and the pain-management team.
