Interdisciplinary, Multimodal Treatment Programs

Understanding Moving Coping

These programs are designed for patients with chronic back, neck, or head pain. Our interdisciplinary team (physiotherapist, psychologist, and physician) guides the patient through a multimodal program with the aim of understanding the various aspects of chronic pain, becoming acquainted with comprehensive therapies, and applying these in daily life: Unterstanding – Moving – Coping.

This is a one-week program from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The groups consist of around eight participants.

Our Interdisciplinary Services

  • Medical consultations and supervision
  • Pain-oriented psychotherapy (mastering pain and stress)
  • Physiotherapy
  • Relaxation techniques
  • Occupational therapy (physically correct comportment in the workplace)

Goals of the Program

  • Education regarding chronic pain
  • Reduction of avoidance and protective behavior
  • Improved stress tolerance in everyday life
  • Learning appropriate physical activities
  • Strategies for better living with chronic pain
