General house rules

Flowers and plants
Visitors are welcome to bring flowers to brighten up rooms. However, please refrain from bringing potted plants for reasons of hygiene.

Decorations
Photos, pictures and postcards may only be put up with magnetic buttons, available from the nurses' desk, on designated walls. Prevailing fire safety regulations must be adhered to.

Pets
Assistance dogs, or "Le Copain" as they are called, are permitted within the clinic.

Smoking
Smoking is generally not permitted in the SPC. There is a heated smoking room available for smokers. It is located on the ground floor beside the lakeside exit. Smoking is also permitted on the rooftop terrace on ward D.

Quiet times
There is a quiet phase from 12:30 to 1:30 over lunchtime. Quiet must be observed in the meeting hall from 10:30 pm and on the wards from 10:00 pm.

Safety
Candles may not be lit. If a fire detector detects smoke, an alarm is automatically sent to the SPC fire brigade. If you have to raise a fire alarm yourself, use the hand-operated pushbuttons at the signposted fire-hose cabinets in the corridors. Raise the alarm in the rooms by calling extension 118 (internal) or via the call system.
